With a commitment to bringing fans as close as possible to their heroes, Euroleague Basketball announces the launch of The Journey, a behind-the-scenes broadcast series that will track five Turkish Airlines EuroLeague teams from the opening tip until this season's champion is crowned.

The EuroLeague is all about emotions, its fans universally recognized as some of the best in all of sports. The same emotions bubble on the court, in the locker room, and at every practice – just a few of the places where The Journey cameras will be with each of the five teams on their quest for glory this season.

The Journey is the latest addition to the Euroleague Basketball Originals long-form story-telling project, joining The Insider EuroLeague Documentary Series, now in its fourth season.

The Journey's first episode arrived on November 6 to all Euroleague Basketball broadcast partners and is now available on Euroleague Basketball's digital platforms for all our fans. The Journey gives viewers world-wide an intimate look at five teams – CSKA Moscow, Fenerbahce Istanbul, FC Bayern Munich, Olympiacos Piraeus and Real Madrid – whose adventures will unfold over eight monthly installments in a 26-minute format from November to May.

All of these five world-renowned international clubs offer fascinating stories.

Olympiacos Piraeus

The Journey will follow coaching great David Blatt during his transition to Greek powerhouse Olympiacos. With Blatt as a focus, viewers will witness the highs and lows as he looks to claim his second EuroLeague title and end his new club's five-year wait for glory.

 Real Madrid

The Journey will be there every step of the way as Real Madrid looks to defend its 2018 title. The most-crowned team in European basketball has never won back-to-back Final Fours. Be at their sides as Pablo Laso, Sergio Llull and the rest of Madrid's stars aim to make more history.

Fenerbahce Istanbul

Iconic coach Zeljko Obradovic looks to go a step further than last season with French star Joffrey Lauvergne, just back from the NBA. The Journey will follow Joffrey as he experiences the wonders of Istanbul and tries to help the 2017 champs reclaim the crown.

CSKA Moscow

Kyle Hines is one of the most successful and beloved Americans in European basketball history. As the new CSKA captain tries to guide his team to the title, The Journey will get an intimate look at the life of an American who has become a legend in Europe.

FC Bayern Munich

One of the biggest names in world sport, FC Bayern Munich, is back in the EuroLeague, aiming to build a new legacy in basketball. The Journey will go backstage with the staff, management, coaches and players to see how a great club works to reach the elite.
