Euroleague Basketball and Rioja toast new partnership

Euroleague Basketball and Rioja have entered into a new partnership that will make the well-known region of Spain one of the new main sponsors of both the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and the 7DAYS EuroCup.

The Rioja region valued the pan-European reach of both competitions, regarding them as important advertising platforms that can reach key markets in more than 70 countries with a potential audience of 2 billion. The collaboration will include activations throughout the season in several scenarios: on-court, media and social media.

The Rioja region just started a new promotional campaign that will become a presence in all platforms provided by both the EuroLeague and the EuroCup.

"It is a pleasure for Euroleague Basketball to welcome Rioja as a new sponsor," Roser Queralto, Chief Business Officer of Euroleague Basketball, said. "We are convinced that the EuroLeague and the EuroCup are perfect platforms to display the prestige and tradition of the region, both at the domestic and pan-European levels. It is also an excellent opportunity to make an area with such a high tourism potential more visible everywhere."

"This was a unique chance for promotion of Rioja," the region's regulatory council president, Fernando Salamero, added. "The impact that the brand of the region can have through two of the biggest competitions at an international level is huge, and it allows us to reach some corners where Rioja still had not been promoted until now."
