The Journey, Episode 2: Inside the great Greek derby

The Journey, a behind-the-scenes broadcast series that is tracking five Turkish Airlines EuroLeague teams from the opening tip until this season's champion is crowned, opens its second episode going into the heart of one of world sport's most intense rivalries.

Viewers of The Journey get to follow the inside story as Olympiacos Piraeus goes into the lion's den of the Olympic Sports Center Athens, home of its archrival, Panathinaikos OPAP Athens. From the previous day's last practice, to the locker room speech of Olympiacos coach David Blatt, to his comments during and after the game, The Journey gives a privileged look at what such a passionate derby is all about.

Also in Episode 2:

- Fenerbahce Istanbul's Zeljko Obradovic and the people around him talk about the motivations of the greatest coach in EuroLeague history.

- Derrick Williams brings some serious skills to FC Bayern Munich, a new team that is already surprising some more experienced opponents.

- Two of the last three champions, Real Madrid and CSKA Moscow, discuss the mutually outsized ambitions surrounding their big showdown.

Euroleague Basketball launched The Journey this season as part of its commitment to bringing fans as close as possible to their heroes. The Journey joins The Insider EuroLeague Documentary Series, now in its fourth season, to expand Euroleague Basketball's tradition of long-form story-telling that puts fans not only on the bench for games, but on the team bus, too.

The Journey allows Euroleague Basketball broadcast partners to give viewers world-wide an intimate look at five teams – CSKA, Fenerbahce, Bayern, Olympiacos and Madrid – whose adventures unfold over eight monthly installments in a 26-minute format until May.
