Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season Round 25 MVP: Shane Larkin, Anadolu Efes Istanbul

Shane Larkin produced one of the outstanding performances of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season to take the starring role as Anadolu Efes Istanbul downed FC Barcelona Lassa 92-70, moving a game clear of the Spanish side in fourth place and also claiming the head-to-head tiebreak advantage between them. Larkin came off the bench midway through the first quarter and immediately hit 2 three-pointers as the prelude for a sensational display. He finished with a career-best 37 points – the EuroLeague's highest tally in more than six years – and registered a performance index rating of 43 – the second-best of the season – to take the MVP award for Round 25. Larkin made 6 of 7 two-point attempts, 6 of 8 three-pointers and all 7 of his foul shots. He also had 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot. The next-best performance in Round 25 came from KIROLBET Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz big man Johannes Voigtmann, who came close to a triple-double as he registered 16 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists, enough for a PIR of 31 in a 104-86 victory over Khimki Moscow Region. He was followed by Larkin's Efes teammate, Adrien Moerman, who combined 22 points with 11 rebounds for a PIR of 30 against his old club, Barcelona. Another powerful performance came from Nikola Milutinov, who registered 15 points and 12 rebounds, amassing a PIR of 30, as Olympiacos Piraeus won 76-89 at Buducnost VOLI Podgorica. The week's top performers were rounded off by another Baskonia big man, Vincent Poirier, with a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds for a PIR of 28.
