Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season - Round 27 MVP: Walter Tavares, Real Madrid
Walter Tavares anchored Real Madrid's 73-78 comeback road win against AX Armani Exchange Milan, and in the process earned MVP of Round 27 honors. Tavares scored 13 points on 6-for-7 two-point shooting, and also posted game-highs of 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. Playing for exactly 29 minutes and 29 seconds, Tavares accumulated a performance index rating of 29, tied for the most among all players, but the most among players on winning teams this round. The other player with a PIR 29 this round was Greg Monroe of FC Bayern Munich who posted 18 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals, while drawing 8 fouls in a home loss against KIROLBET Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz. Rounding out the list of top performers in Round 27 are three players with an index rating of 26: Othello Hunter of Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv collected 15 points plus 12 rebounds and 2 assists in a win over Anadolu Efes Istanbul; CSKA Moscow's Mike James had 27 points, 5 assists and 2 rebounds in a win over Zenit St Petersburg; Zach LeDay had 23 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists for Zalgiris Kaunas in a win over Khimki Moscow Region.

Individual highs: Austin Hollins of Zenit St Petersburg, 28 points

Zenit's Austin Hollins led all scorers this round with 28 points. Efes guard Shane Larkin remains as the top scorer with 21.5 points per game. Hunter and Tavares each had 12 rebounds, the most in Round 27. Nikola Milutinov of Olympiacos Piraeus is EuroLeague's top rebounder this season with 8.2 on average. Three players had 7 assists this round: Khimki's Stefan Jovic, FC Barcelona's Cory Higgins and Thomas Walkup of Zalgiris. Nick Calathes of Panathinaikos OPAP Athens leads the league averaging 9.2 assists. Riccardo Moraschini of Milan and Gustavo Ayon of Zenit led all players this round with 4 steals apiece. Baskonia Pierria Henry tops the steals chart with 1.6 steals per game. Tavares had 4 blocked shots, more than any player this round. Tavares leads all shot blockers with 2.1 blocks per game. There were four double-doubles in Round 27: Tavares had 13 points and 12 rebounds, Hunter 15 points plus 12 rebounds, Luke Sikma of ALBA Berlin 10 points and 11 rebounds, while Khimki's Jonas Jerebko collected 17 points and 10 rebounds.
