7DAYS EuroCup RS, Round 7 MVP: Derek Willis, Umana Reyer Venice
Derek Willis of Umana Reyer Venice led the way among all winning players in Round 7 of the 7DAYS EuroCup after recording a PIR of 31 in his team's 78-65 win over Frutti Extra Bursaspor. This is the second time that the 27-year-old has won MVP of the Round honors in his 33-game EuroCup career, having previously done so while playing for ratiopharm Ulm in Round 5 of the 2019-20 season. Willis had a 19-point, 13-rebound double-double en route to his PIR of 31, which is a career-high. Tomer Ginat recorded a higher PIR than Willis, finishing with 36 after having a 24-point, 10-rebound double-double, but it came in a losing effort as Hapoel Vegan Friendly Tel Aviv fell to a 98-91 overtime defeat on the road at Veolia Towers Hamburg. Onuralp Bitim of Bursaspor had the third-highest PIR in Round 7 with 30, following a night in which he had 24 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals, but he was also on the losing side as his team was defeated by Reyer. In fourth spot is Kyle Allman of Paris Basketball, as he scored 26 points, grabbed 3 rebounds, dished 6 assists and recorded 1 steal for a PIR of 29 in his team's 69-77 road win at Slask Wroclaw. Tied for fifth place are Damien Inglis of Gran Canaria and DJ Kennedy of Prometey Slobozhanske; both players finished with a PIR of 28. Inglis had a 14-point, 10-rebound double-double, in addition to 4 assists and 2 steals, in Gran Canaria's 81-88 win at Turk Telekom Ankara. One night earlier, Kennedy had 12 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and drew 8 fouls as Prometey lost 92-85 in overtime to Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse.

Individual highs: Alpha Kaba, Buducnost, 16 rebounds

Tony Taylor of Turk Telekom was the top scorer in Round 7, tallying 28 points against Gran Canaria. Joe Young of Promitheas Patras, who did not play in this round, remains the competition's top scorer with 24.5 points per game. Alpha Kaba of Buducnost VOLI Podgorica led all rebounders by pulling down 16 boards in his team's 73-58 home victory against Dolomiti Energia Trento. Kaba also leads the way this season with 12.0 rebounds per night. Three players – Yogi Ferrell of Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana, Ziga Samar of Hamburg and Nemanja Gordic of U-BT Cluj-Napoja – had 9 assists apiece in Round 7. J'Covan Brown is the 2022-23 EuroCup assists leader with 7.0 per game. Gordic was one of eight players to get 3 steals in this round, along with Darion Atkins, Andrejs Grazulis and Mattia Udom of Trento, Brown and Chinanu Onuaku of Hapoel, Erkan Yilmaz of Turk Telekom and James Woodward of Hamburg. Jeremiah Martin of Slask ranks first in steals with 2.9 per night. Atkins led Round 7 in blocks, recording 4 against Buducnost. Ismael Kamagate of Paris leads the competition in blocks with 2.1 per game. Kaba, Yoeli Childs of Hamburg, Tomer Ginat of Hapoel, Conor Morgan of Slask, Axel Toupane of Paris, Derek Willis of Reyer, Inglis of Gran Canaria, Leonardo Meindl of Cluj and Kenny Gabriel of Germani Brescia all finished with a double-double in Round 7.
