Turkish Airlines EuroLeague RS - Round 29 MVP: Dzanan Musa, Real Madrid
 
A dominant display in Real Madrid's 91-87 win against EA7 Emporio Armani Milan has seen Dzanan Musa earn MVP of the Round honors in Round 29 of the 2022-23 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season. This is the 23-year-old's third MVP award in his debut campaign with Los Blancos.

Musa finished with a career-high 38 PIR, the highest of any Real player in almost five years, after scoring 27 points, grabbing 5 rebounds, dishing 3 assists, recording 1 steal and drawing 10 fouls. En route to his 27 points, he went 4-of-5 on two-pointers, 2-of-5 on three-pointers and 13-of-14 from the free-throw line. The 13 free throws made by Musa ranks second in the league this season. Musa's 27 points is his second-highest total in 2022-23, having scored a career-high 28 points in Round 9 against Valencia Basket.

Sasha Vezenkov of Olympiacos Piraeus had a PIR of 32, the second highest in Round 29, in his team's 72-74 win at Zalgiris Kaunas. The forward recorded 25 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 3 fouls drawn. Coming in third place in the Round 29 MVP race is Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv guard Wade Baldwin, who had a 31 PIR as his side beat Cazoo Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz 93-79. Baldwin amassed 24 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists, 1 steal and 6 fouls drawn. Youssoupha Fall of LCLC ASVEL Villeurbanne had the fourth-best PIR mark with 28, but his squad ended up losing 82-86 to Panathinaikos Athens. The center finished with a 13-point, 12-rebound double-double, in addition to 1 steal, 1 block and 7 fouls drawn. Rounding out the top five is Elie Okobo of AS Monaco, as the guard had 21 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, 1 block and 7 fouls drawn on his way to a PIR of 27 in his team's 81-68 win against Virtus Segafredo Bologna.


Individual highs: Josh Nebo, Maccabi, 14 rebounds      

The Round 29 MVP, Dzanan Musa of Real Madrid, led all scorers with 27 points against Milan. Olympiacos star Sasha Vezenkov is the competition's top scorer at 18.2 points per game. Josh Nebo of Maccabi grabbed 14 rebounds as his side beat Baskonia. Vezenkov averages a league-best 7.3 boards per night. Five players – Wade Baldwin of Maccabi, Shabazz Napier of Milan, Milos Teodosic of Virtus, Cassius Winston of FC Bayern Munich and Rokas Jokubaitis of FC Barcelona – recorded 8 assists in Round 29. Baskonia playmaker Darius Thompson leads the way for assists this season, averaging 6.5 per contest. A couple of players had a round-high 4 steals in Round 29: James Webb of Valencia and Daulton Hommes of Baskonia. Olympiacos guard Thomas Walkup posts a league-best average of 1.8 steals per game. There were eight players – Walter Tavares of Real, Elijah Bryant of Anadolu Efes Istanbul, Nigel Hayes-Davis of Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul, Matthew Costello of Baskonia, Alen Smailagic of Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade, Jonah Radebaugh of Valencia, Achille Polonara of Zalgiris and Louis Olinde of ALBA Berlin – who blocked 2 shots, the most in this round. Tavares comfortably leads the way for blocks this year, averaging 2.3 per night. Nebo (15 points, 14 rebounds) of Maccabi and Fall (13 points, 12 rebounds) of ASVEL were the only players who registered a double-double in Round 29.
