Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season - Round 14 MVP: Kostas Sloukas, Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens
 
A career-best night in assists has seen Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens guard Kostas Sloukas earn MVP of the Round honors in Round 14 of the 2023-24 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season.

Sloukas played an integral role as the Greens defeated LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne 81-89, pairing his career-high 12 assists with 18 points. He also had 5 rebounds and 1 steal, which gave him a PIR of 29, the highest of any winning player in this round. In his 365-game EuroLeague career, Sloukas had never reached 12 assists, while his 18 points and 3 triples made were both season highs. This is his third MVP of the Round honor in 13 EuroLeague seasons.

Despite recording the best PIR mark of anyone in Round 14, Keenan Evans’s career-high 38 PIR night was not enough to stop Zalgiris Kaunas from losing 85-93 to Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade. The guard scored a career-best 33 points, in addition to grabbing 3 rebounds, dishing 4 assists and recording 1 steal. The third-best performer in Round 14 was P.J. Dozier, who shined for Partizan with 16 points, a joint career-best 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. Rounding out the list of top performers in Round 14 are Bonzie Colson of Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, Darius Thompson of Anadolu Efes Istanbul and Chima Moneke of Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz, each of whom had a 26 PIR. Colson recorded 19 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists in a 95-86 win over Efes, while Thompson had 22 points, 7 assists 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Meanwhile, Moneke collected 16 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 block in an 81-91 loss against Virtus Segafredo Bologna.


Individual highs: Keenan Evans, Zalgiris Kaunas, 33 points

Evans led all scorers in Round 14 with 33 points. Mike James of AS Monaco is league's scoring leader with 19.4 points per game.

Tyrique Jones of Efes had 16 rebounds in this round, tying a EuroLeague season high. Tadas Sedekerskis of Baskonia leads the league in rebounding with 8.2 per contest.

Baskonia guard Codi Miller-McIntyre tied a league season high by dishing 13 assists in Round 14. Real Madrid's Facundo Campazzo averages a league high 7.8 assists per night.

Six players had 3 steals this round: Efes duo Jones and Shane Larkin, Olympiacos Piraeus guard Thomas Walkup, LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne's David Lighty, Real Madrid forward Rudy Fernandez and Juancho Hernangomez of Panathinaikos. ASVEL's Paris Lee tops the steals charts with 2.1 per game.

Two players had 4 blocks in this round: Maccabi's Josh Nebo and Serge Ibaka of FC Bayern Munich. Ibaka is now the league leader for blocks with 1.6 per game.

There were five double-doubles in Round 14: Sloukas (18 points, 12 assists), Miller-McIntyre (10 points, 13 assists), Dinos Mitoglou of Panathinaikos (16 points, 11 rebounds), Jones (12 points, 16 rebounds) and Joffrey Lauvergne of ASVEL (10 points, 11 rebounds).
