A stunning performance in a winning effort against one of his former teams allowed Elie Okobo of AS Monaco to earn Round 11 MVP honors with a PIR of 36.
Okobo led Monaco to a 103-92 home win against LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne with 27 points – his most since joining Monaco in 2022 – on 6-of-8 two-pointers, 3-of-4 three-pointers and 6-of-6 free throws. He added 6 assists, 3 steals and 6 fouls drawn to amass a PIR of 36, one shy off matching his career-best effort. Okobo has earned MVP of the Round honors for the third time in his career, and he is the first Monaco player to achieve it this season.
Theo Maledon of ASVEL and Andreas Obst of FC Bayern Munich both amassed a PIR of 30. Maledon finished with 24 points on 4-of-5 two-pointers, 3-of-4 three-pointers and 7-of-7 free throws, as well as 2 rebounds, 8 assists, a steal and 7 fouls drawn. Obst, meanwhile, set the EuroLeague single-game record for three-pointers made with 11, which came on 16 attempts, en route to a career-high 34 points in a 100-78 win against FC Barcelona. He also posted 3 rebounds and 1 assist. Barcelona’s Jabari Parker and EA7 Emporio Armani Milan’s Zach LeDay had a PIR of 29, with LeDay’s squad winning 98-86 against Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv. Parker scored a career-best 26 points, in addition to recording 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. LeDay amassed 22 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals, a block and 6 fouls drawn.
Individual highs: Andreas Obst, Bayern, 34 points
Bayern’s Andreas Obst scored 34 points in Round 11, the most of any player this season. His teammate Carsen Edwards leads the league in scoring with 21.4 points per game.
Tyson Ward of Paris Basketball led all rebounders in this round by pulling down 11 boards. Three players – Milan’s Nikola Mirotic, Real Madrid’s Walter Tavares, and ALBA Berlin’s Trevion Williams – are tied atop the charts in rebounds with 7.5 boards per game.
Four players had 10 assists in Round 11: Elijah Bryant of Anadolu Efes Istanbul, TJ Shorts of Paris, Rokas Jokubaitis of Maccabi and Facu Campazzo of Real Madrid. Maccabi’s Tamir Blatt is the top assist provider this season with 8.7 dimes per night.
Alpha Diallo of Monaco collected a career-best 5 steals, more than anyone else in this round. Diallo is the season leader in steals with 1.7 per contest.
Georgios Papagiannis, also of Monaco, had a round-high 3 blocks. Efes’s Vincent Poirier and Real Madrid’s Tavares are averaging a league-best 1.7 blocks per game.
Paris duo Shorts (21 points, 10 assists) and Ward (11 points, 11 rebounds), Efes’s Bryant (11 points, 10 assists), and Real Madrid’s Campazzo (12 points, 10 assists) all posted a double-double in Round 11.
