Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoffs - Game 5 MVP: Cedi Osman, Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens

After leading his team to the 2025 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four with a career night, Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens forward Cedi Osman has taken home Game 5 MVP honors.
In a 75-67 series-clinching win over Anadolu Efes Istanbul, Osman posted a career-high 28 points on 4-of-8 two-point shooting, 4-of-7 on threes and 8-of-8 on free throws, as well as 8 rebounds, which tied his career-best mark, 1 steal and 7 fouls drawn for a PIR of 32, which is also a personal best. This is the first time that Osman has been the MVP of the Round in 135 EuroLeague appearances.
The next-best index rating belonged to FC Barcelona’s Kevin Punter, who had a PIR of 23 in his team’s 85-84 defeat at AS Monaco. Punter finished with 19 points on 4-of-4 shooting on twos, 2-of-8 on triples and 5-of-5 on free throws, plus 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 fouls drawn.
Monaco center Georgios Papagiannis, who made his first appearance in the playoffs, led his side in index rating with a PIR of 21 PIR, having amassed 17 points by making 4 of 5 two-pointers and 3 of 3 triples along with 5 rebounds, 1 block and 3 fouls drawn.
Rounding out the list of top performers in Game 5 were Monaco’s Mike James and Barcelona’s Justin Anderson, each with PIRs of 19. James posted 20 points on 7-of-9 two-point shootings, 1-of-3 on threes and 3-of-4 on free throws, 1 rebound, 5 assists, 1 steal and 4 fouls drawn, while Anderson recorded 16 points, making 3 of 4 two-pointers, 3 of 5 triples and his lone free-throw attempt as well as 2 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 2 fouls drawn.
Individual highs: Cedi Osman, Panathinaikos, 28 points
Panathinaikos’s Cedi Osman led all scorers in Game 5 with 28 points. TJ Shorts of Paris basketball goes down as the leading scorer in the playoffs with 21.3 points per game. Osman was seventh with 17.2.
Juancho Hernangomez grabbed 11 rebounds, which were not only the most in Game 5, but made him the leader for the entire phase with a playoff average of 8.8 per game.
Kostas Sloukas dished 8 assists, which led all Game 5 players and placed him fourth in the playoffs (5.0 apg.). Mike James was the playoff leader with 6.4 assists per game.
Four players – Darius Thompson and Erkan Yilmaz of Efes, Elie Okobo of Monaco, and Joel Parra of Barcelona – had 3 steals each to lead the way in Game 5. Yilmaz raised his playoff average to 1.8 steals per game, which was second only to Andrews Feliz of Real Madrid with 2.8.
With 2 blocked shots, Efes’s Vincent Poirier had both the highest number in Game 5 and the most in the playoffs, 2.2 per game, with teammate Dan Oturu (1.6) second.
Youssoupha Fall of Barcelona was the only player to record a double-double in Game 5, finishing with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
