Turkish Airlines EuroLeague RS - Round 28 MVP: Dante Exum, FC Barcelona

Just a few days after extending his contract with FC Barcelona until the end of the season, Dante Exum made good on that decision with an individual performance in a home win against AS Monaco that earned him the MVP honor for Round 28. Having played just 12 EuroLeague games in his career, it comes as no surprise that his performance included several personal bests for Exum, including a performance index rating of 31, the highest of all Turkish Airlines EuroLeague players in Round 28. Other new highs for Exum were 22 points and 30 minutes played. His performance was completed with 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 6 fouls drawn. Augustine Rubit of FC Bayern Munich followed with a PIR of 27 in an 88-98 losing effort against Olympiacos Piraeus. Rubit had 18 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 4 fouls drawn. Josh Nebo of Zalgiris Kaunas amassed a PIR of 26 in his team’s road loss against ALBA Berlin. Nebo finished the game with 12 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 5 fouls drawn. Mike James of AS Monaco and Luka Mitrovic of Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade, each with a PIR of 24, complete the top individual performances in Round 28.

Individual highs: Kostas Sloukas, Olympiacos Piraeus, 10 assists

Tyler Dorsey of Olympiacos led all scorers in Round 28 by scoring 25 points in his team's road victory against Munich. Vasilije Micic is the new scoring leader in the competition at 16.7 points per game. Kyle Hines of AX Armani Exchange Milan led all rebounders by pulling down 10 in a winning effort against Panathinaikos OPAP Athens. One of his opponents in that game, Georgios Papagiannis of Panathinaikos, still leads the rebounds table at 7.6 boards per game. Kostas Sloukas, also of Olympiacos, was the only player to reach double digits in assists, dishing 10 against Bayern. Lorenzo Brown of UNICS Kazan is first in this category at 6.1 per night. Luke Sikma of ALBA, Troy Daniels of Milan and Daryl Macon of Panathinaikos each collected 4 steals in Round 28. John Brown of UNICS leads the steals table at 2.8 per night. Adrien Moerman of Efes had 3 blocks, more than anyone else in this round, against cross-town rivals Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul. Walter Tavares of Real Madrid stands as the league leader with his 1.9 stops per game. Sloukas – 11 points, 10 assists – and Hines –13 points, 10 rebounds – had the only double-doubles in Round 28.
