2022 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four Belgrade media credential process begins

Euroleague Basketball announces today the start of the media credential process for the 2022 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four, which will take place in Belgrade, Serbia, from May 19 to 21, 2022.

All of the information needed for legitimate media to apply for a credential, including hotel reservations, will be available through the Euroleague Basketball Media Center, the official website for journalists. There, the entire credential application process may be carried out by filling in on-line registration forms.

The deadline for submitting applications will be May 6, at 12:00 CEST.

Due to the exceptional situation, the number of credentials to be approved for granting access to the Stark Arena for media representatives will be very limited. Therefore, Euroleague Basketball will offer two different means of access to the even by media credentials: one for on-site coverage and the other for remote coverage. Both credentials will include specific media availability opportunities to cover the event.

ON-SITE MEDIA CREDENTIALSFORM HERE

  • On-site credentials will allow any media representative with an approved credential to physically attend selected events where media is allowed to access.
  • Certain capacity limitations may be applied to the different media events to guarantee the health and safety of journalists, players and coaches.
  • All journalists with approved credentials will receive a specific approval letter no later than 5 days after the closing of the credential process.
  • All journalists whose credential applications are denied will receive a specific denial letter no later than 5 days after the closing of the credential process.
  • All journalists with approved media credentials will receive a specific dossier with the different media moments for which they will have the possibility of interacting with players and coaches.

REMOTE MEDIA CREDENTIALS FORM HERE

  • The remote media credential follows the postive experience of Cologne´s Final Four following the exceptional situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • The remote media credential is reserved for any professional journalist or freelance representing a media outlet that, due to the pandemic situation, decides to follow the event remotely.
  • The remote media credential will allow you to:
  • Interact with selected players and coaches through a webinar platform during the event for editorial purposes.
  • Receive all event communications and latest news.
  • The remote media credential does not provide streaming access to the live games.
  • All journalists with approved credentials will receive a specific approval letter no later than 5 days after the closing of the credential process. The letter will include all the media events for which the journalists will be allowed to interact with the players.
  • All journalists whose credential applications are denied will receive a specific denial letter no later than 5 days after the closing of the credential process.

CREDENTIAL PROCESS CONDITIONS

  • Accepted applications will be notified by Euroleague Basketball to the mail address provided by the user in the form (please make sure to check the spam box, too); completing the application form does not automatically guarantee accreditation.
  • Applications that are not submitted by filling out the official form before the deadline will not be considered.
  • Applications for media credentials by agents, educational booklet authors, fan bloggers, or media that do not produce original content based on generally accepted news gathering criteria will not be considered.
  • Freelancers (writers, photographers and video-reporters) may be asked to prove that they are on assignment with a media outlet to be considered for credentials.
  • Media Tribune positions will be distributed based on a criteria relating to audience, readership, circulation, visits, unique users and regular coverage of the competition.
  • Websites, newspapers, radio stations, magazines and news agency representatives will have a limited number of assigned seats in the Media Tribune based on a criteria relating to audience, readership, circulation, visits and unique users and regular coverage of the competition.
  • The limitation conditions of assigned seats in the Media Tribune for each type of media is specified in the on-line form.
  • All approved credentials will only be valid for the 2022 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four Belgrade, to be held at Stark Arena, Belgrade (Serbia) from May 19 to 21, 2022.
  • Euroleague Basketball retains the right to cancel all pre-approved media credentials at any time due to the latest recommendations and/or guidance of local authorities and legislation.
  • In the case that an on-site media credential request has been rejected, Euroleague Basketball will decide at its own discretion whether to alternatively provide remote access to the event.
