In just his second game in the 7DAYS EuroCup, center James Kelly of Maccabi Rishon LeZion claimed the MVP honor for Round 10 with some of the most compelling numbers of the just-completed regular season. Kelly, who was a mid-season signing due to injuries, exploded for 27 points on 12-of-16 two-point shooting, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals in his team's 96-92 overtime victory over ratiopharm Ulm. That added up to a performance index rating of 40, which was not only the highest of Round 10 but also the second-highest in all of the regular season, as were his total rebounds. His 13 defensive rebounds were 2 more than any other EuroCup player had in the first phase. The runner-up in the Round 10 MVP race was Rasid Mahalbasic of EWE Baskets Oldenburg, who compiled a personal-best PIR of 34 as his team edged Buducnost VOLI Podgorica 102-99. Mahalbasic tallied 25 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals in the game. His teammate Gerry Blakes and Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana guard Jaka Blazic were next, each with PIRs of 30. Blakes scored 31 points and dished 5 assists against Buducnost. Blazic produced 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in a 103-81 rout of Joventut Badalona. Rounding out the Round 10 top performers was Sam Dekker of Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar, who posted 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for a PIR of 27 in a 92-90 loss at Tofas Bursa.
Individual highs: Gerry Blakes, Oldenburg, 31 points
Blakes was the top scorer in Round 10 with a career-high 31 points, which lifted his average for the regular season to 12.3 points. Klemen Prepelic of Joventut finished as the regular season scoring champ with 17.8 points per game. Kelly's 14 rebounds were tied for the second-most of the EuroCup regular season and led all players in Round 10. Alan Williams of Lokomotiv was the top rebounder for the regular season with 9.4 per game. Olimpija guard Codi Miller-McIntyre stood out with 11 assists to top the Round 10 charts. Semaj Christon of Limoges goes down as the regular season assists leader with 8.0 per game. Aaron Craft of Dolomiti Energia Trento was joined by Kelly and Segafredo Virtus Bologna's Kyle Weems with 4 steals each in Round 10 to lead all players. Craft, whose 7.7 assists were second-most in the regular season, finished atop the steals charts with 2.9 per game. Muhsin Yasar of Tofas Bursa blocked 3 shots in Round 10, more than any other player. Johnathan Hamilton of Darussafaka Tekfen Istanbul averaged 1.7 rejections per game to become the regular-season leader. Kelly, Miller-McIntrye (13 points, 11 assists), Seth Hinrichs (11 points, 11 rebounds) of Ulm, and Dekker all recorded double-doubles in Round 10.
