LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne vs. Panathinaikos OPAP Athens
· This is the first meeting between Panathinaikos and ASVEL since 2001. The Greens lead the series 3-1, although ASVEL won their first game ever, in Athens.
· ASVEL's David Lighty and Panathinaikos forward DeShaun Thomas were teammates at JSF Nanterre during the 2013-14 season.
· ASVEL big man Adreian Payne had two stints with Panathinaikos, in the second part of the 2017-18 season and briefly last season. During his time there he was a teammate of current Greens Nick Calathes, Dinos Mitoglou, Nikos Pappas, Ian Vougioukas, DeShaun Thomas and Georgios Papagiannis.
· ASVEL guard Edwin Jackson and Panathinaikos forward DeShaun Thomas were teammates at Barcelona during the 2016-17 season.
