- Olympiacos won its last four EuroLeague games against Panathinaikos, including an 81-73 home win in their last meeting behind Thomas Walkup who had career-highs in PIR (32) and assists (13), along with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 steals. Walkup earned the MVP of the Round honor for that performance.

That was his second stint with Olympiacos. During the first, Sloukas helped Olympiacos to back-to-back EuroLeague titles in 2012 and 2013. Sloukas spent five seasons in Piraeus during his first stint with the club, with which he made his debut as a teenager in 2009. He won those titles with one current Olympiacos player: Kostas Papanikolaou.
- Olympiacos guard Michalis Lountzis spent three seasons with Panathinaikos, from 2014 to 2017. He made his EuroLeague debut with the Greens.
